We are pleased to be hosting a joint event with the London Solicitors Litigation Association on Thursday 23 April at 5:30pm at our regular venue, Lazy Ballerinas on Fleet Street.

The event will consist of panel discussions:

  1. “Practice Direction 57AC five years on – is the guidance on trial witness statements working?” – a panel discussion with John McElroy (Fieldfisher, Chair), Isabel Hitching KC and Nicola Atkins (Crown Office Chambers), Avneet Baryan (Mills & Reeve) and David Owen (Barclays).
  2. “What are the keys to success in a misrepresentation claim in 2026” – a panel discussion with Adam Baradon KC (Blackstone Chambers, Chair),  Ben Lynch KC (Fountain Court), Alexander Brown KC (One Essex Court), Mary Young (Kingsley Napley) and Nick Jones (Enyo).

We are fortunate to have assembled these panels, which includes experience of the Civil Procedure Rules Committee, one of the largest misrepresentation claims of last year and wide-ranging practical experience from the Bar, law firms and in-house. It is an event not to be missed.

The panel discussions will end by 7pm followed by drinks and networking until 9pm.  We hope that the evening will provide a valuable opportunity for professional dialogue between members of the LBA and the LSLA.

Registration is free of charge, but please secure your attendance by contacting us at [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you there.
