On 22 January 2025 the London Bar Association will be hosting a “fireside chat” with Lord Wilson of Culworth. Lord Wilson will discuss his career at the Bar and the Bench and will also offer his insight on advocacy and life as a barrister. The session will be moderated by our Vice Chair, Sanjay Patel KC.
Lord Wilson will be known to all members as having been one of the longest serving Justices of the Supreme Court, sitting in the highest court from 2011 to 2020. Having specialised in family law at the Bar, during two decades in appellate courts Lord Wilson gave important judgments in areas as diverse as tax law, employment law, public law and contract law. Lord Wilson now sits as an arbitrator.
